ESXENCE-2018: L’Eau de Gina by Au pays de la Fleur d’Oranger

Grasse’s Au Pays de la Fleur d’Oranger brand, now APFO, has produced new fragrances for women in recent years.

The founder of the brand, Virginie Roux, decided that Madeleine’s Water was dedicated to her grandmother; Eau de Virginie is named after her, although she is dedicated to the rights and freedom of all women in the world. The new fragrance, L’Eau de Gina, was also dedicated to a woman, this time to Virginia’s mother, but also to a literary heroine.

The fragrance L’Eau by Gina APFO is dedicated to my mother Ginette and my Italian family roots, because on my mother’s side, our family is Mediterranean in Italy. And I named the perfume L’Eau de Gina because it was the name of a character from La Chartreuse de Parma, Stendhal’s great novel – Gina was the protagonist’s aunt, who lived in a castle near Lake Como.
